Old School Skull Army Tattoo

We are getting used to seeing watercolor and script tattoos everywhere, that’s why this old school Skull tattoo stands out so boldly. There isn’t a lot of art that looks as badass as a traditional black and grey skull with a pop of colour, especially when it’s done with Dynamic ink to ensure that it stays as clear and dark as the day it was applied.

The appeal of American Traditional tattoos, even today stem from bold, artistic, and classic design. These tattoos are legible from a great distance and the big designs ensure that the art doesn’t get muddy after time. They will always have an iconic look that made the tattoo industry what it is today, which is why so many people have a soft spot for traditional tattoos.

The wearer has a long history with the army and this tattoo is the perfect way to embody that experience. When the tattoo industry first blew up the main customers outside of prison were marines and men in the military. This is why men in service pops into your mind as soon as you see an American traditional tattoo. They were designed for the toughest of society.

Times have changed and traditional tattoos has also modernized. You do not have to be a manly man to get the bold, clean style of tattoo. Especially not with the design specialists at Zen ink tattoo studio. The style has evolved to suite every type of need. If you love the simplistic look of traditional tattoos but you are a Sci-Fi fan, they will custom design a Wookie in the style you love.

Nina is excellent when it comes to creating depth with shadows and textures. It takes this amazing design a step even further. She takes an iconic design and gives it a modern twist using shading, giving the skull and banner texture. It makes it hard to take your eyes off it. I hope the guy invested in tank tops so that skull will always be exposed.

At Zen ink they pride themselves in hygiene and friendliness. Their shop is always impeccable. The first time I visited, it reminded me of Harry potter. There is a small door at the entrance between two shops, but when you enter a small staircase leads to a beautiful loft. It literally feels like you have entered a mystical world, ready to get a brand new breathtaking tattoo.

They also only use the top of the range equipment and machines to ensure that you only get the best all round experience and tattoo. If you are still unsure, just pop into the shop and talk to Jay or Nina about your idea and they will quickly turn it into a reality. Nina is also well versed in freehand tattoos, this is where she draws the design right onto your skin to make the placement perfect and work well with existing tattoos or cover ups. They will surpass your expectations.
